Cookie Policy

The short version
This website uses no advertising networks and no fingerprinting, and sets no cookies at all until you accept. If you accept, two things happen: we record which page you visited and the approximate place your IP address resolves to — country, state and city or district — on our own server; and Microsoft Clarity is switched on, which records how pages are used (scrolls, clicks, heatmaps, session replays with typed text masked) and sets its own cookies. If you decline, neither runs and nothing at all is recorded.

The first two are local storage rather than cookies: they stay in your browser, are never transmitted with your requests, and identify nobody. The Clarity cookies are set by Microsoft only after you accept; they carry a random identifier, not your name.
What we record on our server
Only if you accept, and only one entry per page you open:

It is used for two things and then discarded: to enforce a rate limit against abuse, and to look up the place it belongs to — country, state and city or district — in a location database that sits on our own server, so no outside service ever sees it. Only the resolved place is stored. The referrer is reduced to a hostname, because a full URL can carry your search terms. There is no identifier of any kind in the record, so two visits by you are indistinguishable from visits by two different people.
The location is approximate: country is near-certain, state is right about four times in five in India, and city or district roughly two times in three; mobile connections often resolve to the operator’s gateway city rather than where you are. We use it only to see which regions our visitors come from.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw or grant consent at any time. It takes effect immediately and, if you decline, nothing further is sent.
Third parties
Before you decide, the only external resources this website loads are two typefaces — Plus Jakarta Sans and JetBrains Mono — from Google Fonts, which serves font files and sets no cookies. If you accept, we also load Microsoft Clarity(clarity.ms), a usage-analytics service run by Microsoft: it records clicks, scrolls and session replays so we can see where pages confuse people, masks text you type, and stores that data with Microsoft under its own privacy statement. No tag manager, no advertising pixel, no embedded video, no vendor chat widget.
Contact form
What you type into the contact form is sent to us by email and to our own workflow tool so we can reply. That is separate from anything on this page and is covered by our Privacy Policy.
The ErgoLIMS application
The application itself, including the demo at demo.ergolims.com, uses strictly necessary session cookies for login. Those are covered in the product documentation and your customer agreement, not by this website policy.
